I am a native of Bombay, India. I completed my schooling and junior college at St. Xavier's and my undergraduate in textiles at the Department of Textile Engineering, Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute (Aerial View), Mumbai

After working for a couple of years in India, I decided to get international exposure and hence came to the US and have completed my MS in textile management (textile dept., College of Family and Consumer Sciences) at the University of Georgia in Athens , Georgia . At UGA (and even now) my closest friends have been Kennita Kind and Vipul Kashyap, who have always been there when I needed them. Thanks for being there KK & VK.

Presently, I am furthering my knowledge and research base in textile technology management at the College of textiles, Dept. of Textile and Apparel, Technology and Management, North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. I am working on a couple of projects; one is with APICS (Textiles and Apparel SIG) wherein my professor, Dr. George Hodge and me have compiled a list of MRP II/ERP software vendors for the textile and apparel industry; the other project is with NTC (National Textile Center) on Information Engineering and Taxonomy of Textile Intelligent Systems. I have recently submitted a proposal (along with my professor and Mr. Neil Cahill of ITT) on "Information Engineering: Textile Industry's value adding key to effective decision-making." In addition, I am working with ATMI (American Textile Manufacturer's Institute) on a Quick Response project. I have recently published two textile courses on-line (TAM 480 - Production Management Decisions for Textile Operations and TAM 380 - Management and Control of Textile & Apparel Systems)  for my professor, Dr .George Hodge.
